Computer Vision Research Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small start-up environment that is financially backed by a global organisation. My client is a leading innovator within AI technologies whose share price doubled throughout the recent pandemic. Working with real world problems you will research and develop emerging sensor technologies and AI/ML algorithms to enhance 2D & 3D vision systems for perception and learning software. My client offer a brilliant package which
includes a salary up to £90k, a 10-15% bonus, 7% matched pension contribution, continuous learning and development programme and holiday plus mental/physical wellbeing and charity or volunteer days off. This is all supported with a flexible working from home policy where you may be asked to go into London for meeting a couple of times a month.

In this position as the Computer Vision Research Engineer you will:

  • Understand and use cutting edge technologies to be modified for real world applications
  • Research application for ML implementation
  • Collect, check and analyse data
  • Work closely with Software Developers and Research Scientists
  • Stay up to date with current papers, publications and scientific literature

For this position, I am looking for:

  • Masters or PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Computer Science of similar
  • Strong hands on experience with programming languages such as C++ and Python
  • Experience using scientific libraries/frameworks; PyTorch, Caffe, TensorFlow, OpenCV, CUDA
  • Portfolio or display of personal projects with ML, publications, conference presentations or patents
  • Passionate about working with R&D for real world applications
  • Ability to work within a team environment or highly motivated independently
